Pilar Hillis
Hi, I’m Pilar Hillis, the owner and founder of SOMA Wellness, and I’m passionate about helping others find balance, renewal, and vitality through holistic wellness. At SOMA, we specialize in guiding clients through transformative experiences that support both body and mind, whether it’s through movement, recovery, or deep relaxation practices.
With a background in yoga, masculine and feminine energy dynamics, somatic movement, and ayurveda, I’ve dedicated my career to understanding how the body heals, restores, and thrives. I believe in the power of intentional self-care—from fascia release and breathwork to cold therapy and infrared sauna sessions—to unlock greater mobility, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.
At SOMA, my goal is to create a welcoming space where you can sweat, plunge, recover, and restore, leaving you feeling more connected to yourself. Whether you’re here to release tension, recover from injury, or simply carve out time for self-care, I’m here to guide and support you.
I can’t wait to welcome you into the SOMA community!

Kaitlyn Jones
“Movement is my Medicine”
This has been Kaitlyn's mantra the past 12 years. She has been fascinated by the human body and its movement since her baby ballerina days. Through all types of dance, yoga and fitness she has been able to blend her knowledge and passion for physical and spiritual wellness. After graduating from Cal State Long Beach with a BA in Kinesiology in 2016, Kaitlyn felt the call to begin her path of teaching yoga and received her 200 hour Teacher certification. Yoga has been the core of her self care practices and has allowed her the ability to deepen the relationship she has with herself and Spirit.
Through yoga, Kaitlyn found herself on a path of holistic wellness- addressing the human as a multi-faceted being that can integrate the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects all into one beautiful body. With the tools of movement, Kaitlyn fully believes that when we commit fully to the relationship that we have to the Self, we can heal the Self.
You can find Kaitlyn teaching our restorative yoga and sound healing every other Saturday at SOMA.
We are so honored to have her here

Lance Culnane
Lance is passionate about supporting Reiki in Ashland and obtained his Reiki Master training from an amazing local Reiki Master, Luis Morales. Lance would like reiki to be accessible to people of all backgrounds. He had a really intense 5-year headache while working on his PhD in chemistry. He started out fairly anti-woo woo, but was desperate, suicidal, and open to anything. The CT scans and medications didn't help. Therapy helped. All the self-love, health and wellness techniques helped. Meditation, surfing, and yoga helped. Reiki helped, even though he didn't 'believe' in it at first. He is very excited about Soma and how it serves the community. He says, "There's something magical about one person standing near another, wishing them well with Reiki. I don't know if it was the actual Reiki which saved my life, and/or just having one person in my life, showing up for me and silently showing that they cared for me, and with their presence, letting me know everything would be ok. I feel like community is really needed in our modern society and am so happy that something like Soma exists. In a way, Soma is like that friend of mine, a silent witness, happy to help. People gather and leave feeling better."

Kristin Jamieson
“I believe that people are empowered through knowledge. Whether it is simply that they finally understand why their shoulder hurts every time it gets just above 90 degrees or the role and importance of something called the fascial network. When a person truly understands why it is that something is inflamed, how it got to be that way, and ways that will help it get better, they can be more in control of their healing.”
Kristin is a Physical Therapist and Founder of WIT (Wellness Integration Tools). After obtaining her Bachelors from the University of Colorado, Boulder Kristin relocated to the Bay Area. It was a love of science that brought her to San Francisco where she worked as a researcher at the Ernest Gallo Clinic and Research Center, UCSF Department of Neurology intent on getting a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. After several years in the lab, it became clear that her calling was to work with people. She followed up her undergraduate degree with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences.
She returned to the Bay Area, this time with her husband and son, practicing Manual Physical Therapy and teaching Pilates from 2003-2020. She then relocated to Ashland Oregon where she still runs her company and practices Physical Therapy.
She founded the company WIT (Wellness Integration Tools) in 2016 with the goal of being able to reach more than one person at a time. Over the years she has developed a method that combines many different areas of study to provide what she believes to be an easily attainable path to wellness and self-connection. Her mission is to facilitate self-connection, educate people about their bodies and the fascial network, provide tools to unlock awareness and promote healing, and to create a culture of prevention.
"I have a vision of a world where everyone operates from a space of self-connection, grounded and present in their bodies, open to feeling the richness of life- both the good and the bad. Where they have a solid understanding of how their body works and what it needs to feel good and function optimally. Where every person is empowered with the tools to help themselves heal."

Danielle Creese
Danielle Crease is a Pyramid Breathwork Facilitator, Fitness Coach, and the founder of DCFIT: Strength Beyond Circumstance. Her journey has been shaped by profound challenges, transformative moments, and a deep commitment to helping others reconnect with their bodies, voices, and inner power.
Her introduction to Pyramid Breath Meditation (PBM) came during a time when anxiety felt like a physical block in her throat. Recognizing that she was not alone in this struggle, she sought out PBM training—unsure but ready. That decision became a turning point, profoundly impacting both her personal growth and her ability to support others. Through breathwork, she learned how to move energy, release tension, and reclaim her voice. Today, she not only guides others through this transformative practice but also mentors those learning to facilitate PBM themselves.
Beyond breathwork, Danielle is a certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach dedicated to reshaping the narrative around movement. Through DCFIT, she fosters an environment where movement is not about punishment or purely aesthetic goals but rather an act of self-love and a celebration of the body’s capabilities. Her work continues to inspire and empower individuals to embrace movement and breath as powerful tools for healing and self-expression.
Connect with Danielle every other Sunday at SOMA for a Pyramid Breath Meditation. Visit www.somawellnessashland.com to book a session with her!
